So what did I think of this film? Well I think it was pretty great, the cast, the director and from what I can tell, the vision of the film was met greatly.

The second movie builds off of all these great ideas, and while not perfect, is great still at expanding the universe, and it causes great twists to happen. What I mean by this is the first movie has laid down some excellent ground work (without getting into to much detail) about at least what the characters do to cause this trouble, and to some extent stop it. The story is a fairly creative one that I think most people can at least get behind if not enjoy. The funny moments are used in good effect to break up some of the horror elements, to make the movie not feel as scary as it could be, but the intent of the film I feel, is not to be the best scarier horror movie, but to be the best scary horror movie, with intentional comedy, which I think this film does a very good job of doing. The humor in the film is fantastic, with no jokes really being super blunt or obvious, but still able to make you laugh when they are, including a call back to the first movie about something that wasn’t happening then, but did happen in this film. She is known in season 1 as the 'baby' of the club. She is portrayed as biracial in the 2020 series. Malia Baker as Mary Anne Spier, the shy secretary of the club and Kristy's best friend.

Plus the action of this movie happens what seems like almost immediately. Shay Rudolph as Stacey McGill, the treasurer of the club who is from Upper West Side of Manhattan.

Pacing wise, this film I think hits the nail on the head, where it slows down for those golden cinema moments that are trying to get the viewer some sort of story, or excellent moments that make you go awe struck, but then make scenes that don’t seem that fun or important, still feel important, but don’t waste your time. Directing is McG (AKA Joseph McGinty Nichol), He has done Charlies Angels: Full Throttle, Terminator Salvation, and We are the Marshall. Actors and actresses in this film are Judah Lewis, Samara Weaving, Jenna Ortega, and Emily Alyn Lind to just name a few. It is lighthearted with the scares, and what is scary, is almost comical in of itself. The movie is one of those comedy/horror style films, which helps itself stand out by not being a horror movie copy and paste factory that feels like most of the last ten to twenty years have been. Overall, Killer Queen does what it says on the tin, one of the better Netflix productions, if you like the genre.I recently watched The Babysitter: Killer Queen, which is a new Netflix original film, that is also a sequel to 2017’s The Babysitter. Jenna Ortega’s Phoebe is a welcomed addition to this fun horror adventure. That said, Emily Alyn Lind returning as Melanie more than fills the gap throughout and along with Lewis shoulders the film. Despite actress Samara Weaving giving off a vibe she’s been dragged back for this with a fleeting follow up appearance, her Bee role is pivotal. The supporting demon cast return and are are on same fine form as the first outing, delivering a backbone of humour, especially one liners. It moves along in a brisk pace, echoing an outlandish 80s slasher cash-in sequel. MC G The Babysitter: Killer Queen offers more blood, comedy and mayhem, more importantly more world building satanic twists. Likeable lead Judah Lewis and many of the cast return for more gross out gore shenanigans. Two years after the events of the first film, the satanic cult return to finish what they started and try to kill Cole again.Īlthough not the heights of his Terminator Salvation outing Mc G returns to form with sequel to The Babysitter, Killer Queen after the ill conceived toned Rim of the World.
